Diagnostics

Diagnostic tools allow our vets to get a clear picture of what’s happening inside your pet’s body.

We Offer a Full Array of Routine and Advanced Diagnostic Services

When our animal family members aren’t feeling well, it’s not always easy to figure out what’s wrong. Since they can’t speak, they can’t explain their symptoms or show us where it hurts. Furthermore, many illnesses and injuries cannot be easily detected on the surface of the skin. This is why veterinary diagnostics are so important. These invaluable tools allow our experienced vets to get a clear picture of what’s happening inside your pet’s body. This provides for a faster, more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

At Raintree Pet Resort + Medical Center, keeping on top of your pet’s health is important to us, because we know that the more thorough we are, the better the prognosis for your loved one. To that end, we are pleased to offer a full array of routine and advanced diagnostic services.

Radiology and Ultrasound

Our medical center is outfitted with cutting edge equipment including digital radiology. This allows us to capture images of the inner workings of your pet’s body, including the skeletal structure. When we can see what’s happening on the inside, we are better able to identify and diagnose potential problems right away so they can be treated in the most timely and effective manner.

Ultrasound imaging technology provides our doctors with a non-invasive way to examine the inside of your pet’s body and diagnose potential health concerns. It is a safe and painless procedure, yet offers highly-accurate images that enable us to evaluate how your companion’s body is functioning. Some of the many conditions ultrasound can be used to assess and diagnose include:
  • Heart disease
  • Tumors
  • Bladder and/or kidney stones
  • Diseases of the organs (liver, kidney, gall bladder, etc.)
  • Gastrointestinal concerns

We Have Our Own In-House Diagnostic Lab

We are able to run a broad spectrum of tests, including blood work and urinalysis. The ability to conduct tests on-site can vastly improve the chances of a positive outcome for your pet, particularly in those instances for which a quick and accurate diagnosis is critical. Our comprehensive diagnostic services help us to stay on top of your loved one’s health at all times.

If your pet has been acting a bit out of the ordinary lately and you're concerned an underlying illness or injury may be to blame, don't hesitate - give us a call right away! We’ll do everything within our power to get to the bottom of whatever is bothering them so we can focus on returning them to good health again as soon as possible.
